Music
Music is an art form that sometimes transmits messages better than anything else. Whether it's to stop a war, stop racism, falling in love, protecting the environment or anything else, it will get its message across.
The main reason I listen to music is to feel it run through my veins. So many songs have different meaning that you have ,for sure, one or many songs that you can easily relate to.
I am pretty open minded when it comes to genre so it will show on this list of my favorite songs! Hope you discover some new songs that you can enjoy. I love listening to music!

Countdown (My top ten)
10- Angel- Sarah McLachlan
This song has a very deep meaning. It's about a drug addict that can't live without it: The Angel! Sarah said: This song is for all those lost souls, so more generally this song could be used for basically everyone at a certain point in there life; everybody feels lost sometimes. One of the most beautiful sounding song!
9- When a man loves a woman- Ben E. King or Michael Bolton (both amazing)
This very cute love song is the perfect portayal of ''when a man loves a woman'' how he feels inside: A man would do anything for his woman! So romantic, this artpiece just fills the spirit with love. The song is also sung by some of the greatest male singers.
8- Stairway to Heaven- Led Zeppelin or even the cover by the Wilson sisters
A song that inspires greatness. That's about all there is to say about it. Truly a masterpiece...
7- House of the rising sun- Haley Reinhart
One of the most talented singer of the 21st century, Haley interprets this classic better than anybody else. The vocals exposed on this song is completly ridiculous! A must listen too!
6- Perfect- Hedley
Very emotional song about a love story, that occurs in many people's lives: someone is brokenhearted and wonders what could he do to be better and stay with the person! I'm not Perfect but I keep trying, cause that's what I said I would do from the start! I'm not alive if I'm lonely, so please don't leave. Was it something I said or just my personality?
5- Drops of Jupiter- Train
Pat Monahan actually wrote this song following the devastating death of his mother. This song is basically about people never actually being gone forever; some kind of heaven exists. Adding to the emotions, Patrick Monahan voice is so pure and raw. This song will become an endless classic!
4- Everybody Hurts- R.E.M
This song was written by the drummer of the band Bill Berry. It is an anti suicide song for all those that lost hope. When you are in your darkest hours, don't EVER let go. ''If you think you've had enough of this life, well hang on.''
3- The Story- Brandi Carlile
Seen on the Grey's Anatomy episode, this masterpiece has become according to me, one of THOSE songs, meaning it hits you deep and gives you shivers EVERY time you listen to it. Bursting out in tears is a perfect reaction from listening to it. It's a song about life, love, quite simply. Brandi sings with such conviction and emotion. While I listen to this song, I feel my body being deliberated from all emotion. Simply beautiful!
2- Vole- Céline Dion
Yes, it's an extremely sad song, nonetheless, it's a wonderful song. Written for Céline's niece that died from cycstic fibrosis at only 16 years old, this emotional song makes so many people cry. It's probably the song I would like to be played at my funeral. So many people would agree with me. Céline's has one of the greatest voice on this earth!
1- Hallelujah- Alexandra Burke or Leonard Cohen
The meaning of this song is very obscure. Many think it's about the bible. In my opinion, this song is about human strength, hope! It's a song that rises the spirit and makes you want to sing. It's surely beautiful. The main reason it would be on the top of my list, is all about the vocals and the interpretation of it. Leonard Cohen doesn't really have the vocals but the way he sings it is amazing. On a more Hollywood's version, but to my opinion just as good, is Alexandra Burke's version. She has MAD vocals. It's just great. That is why this would be my number one song. It has since I was small and will always remain my favorite.
Never enough!
A top 50 is never complete! Be sure to check out some of my favorite artist: Florence + the Machine, Beyoncé, David Bowie, Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John, Pink, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, Led Zeppelin, Soweto Gospel Choir, Adele and Céline Dion.
